unsweetened soy yogurt 120 g

I used to bring this cream along often when I was invited to friends’ places or to BBQ parties – and every time, I was enthusiastically asked for the recipe. What was once my closely guarded secret recipe, I now share with you – after all, life is too short, and shared joy is double joy!


The ripe avocados harmonize perfectly with the freshness of the lemon and the subtle spice of the garlic. The unsweetened soy yogurt adds a light acidity while also giving the cream an especially creamy texture. Last but not least: The pepper adds a delicate spiciness and rounds everything off wonderfully.


This versatile avocado cream goes with almost everything: as a dip for grilled or roasted vegetables, as a spread on fresh bread, or even as a creamy addition to pasta. Whether as a snack in between or as a highlight for special occasions – it adds a special touch to any dish. PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION


Start with a little salt and gradually adjust (often, a dish just needs the right amount of salt to bring out its full flavor). Pro tip: For an extra creamy texture, you can blend the avocado cream with an immersion blender – this will make it wonderfully smooth.


I love it most with pasta, paired with fresh or oven-roasted cherry tomatoes. A few chili flakes (for that little extra kick) and toasted pine nuts as a topping make the dish irresistible!

  1. Prepare the avocados: Mash the avocados with a fork.
  2. Add ingredients: Add all the other ingredients, such as soy yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Taste and season: Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Stir to creaminess: Mix everything well until a creamy consistency is achieved. If you prefer it extra smooth, you can also blend the cream with an immersion blender.
  5. Finish: Et voilà, ready to enjoy!
